THREE HOURS ORANGUTAN TREK

The three hours jungle trek is designed for people who love to see the orangutan but not strong enough to do full day walking in the jungle, or you don’t have lots of time to stay in Bukit lawang. You still have big chance to spotting semi wild orangutans or other wildlife with our expert guide.

Itinerary

Our expert knowledge guide will meet you after breakfast at 9:00 am at your hotel/guest house where you stay, you will join with the other guests joining the trek and not more than six people unless your own group is larger than this group size.

Walking for about 15minute pass the rubber plantation before entrance the national park, when we arrive at border of the jungle our expert guide will give a briefing how to behave in the jungle. You search the orangutans and other animals together in the wild, when we meet the orangutans you would enjoy it the time to observe and learn about how do they live in the wild (to climb, moving through the branches, eat fruits, play/care with their baby, or build their nest up on the trees), grab your camera and take the picture as much as you want as long you  keep in distance and do not use your camera flash.  Also have chance to see the other animals if we lucky such as Thomas leaf-monkey, Silver leaf-monkey, Siamang, White-handed gibbon, Pig-tailed macaque, Monitor lizards, Sumatran peacock, Red giant flying squirrel and Malayan giant squirrel and our expert guide will explain to you about flora and fauna.

On the way we will take a break, our guide will serve you by tropical fresh fruits that we brought with us from home such as pineapple, banana, orange, watermelon and passion fruit, or if you come in the right month at fruits season time you will try other fruits such as (Rambutan, Mangosteen and Mango). After finish eating fruits continue the journey to spotting wildlife and return walk back to the hotel. At 12:30 pm the trek end.

Cost: 35 Euro/person.

Traditional tube rafting extra (optional): 10 Euro/person.

What to bring for jungle trekking

Included: English speaking guide, permit into the national park, fresh fruits + mineral water during the jungle trekking, guide fee and traditional tube rafting (optional).

Excluded: Transport + hotel in Bukit lawang, personal insurance, beverages besides trekking, traditional tube rafting (optional).
